CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessment
• Full Rail Medical
• Audio Assessment
• ECG
• HbA1c Bloods + Lipids
 • Signed off by a Rail Accredited Doctor
Cat 1 Rail Medical Assessment
A category 1 rail medical assessment is completed to meet the national rail safety standards including:
•A Rail Medical Assessment including medical history questionnaire on legislative paperwork
•An Audio (hearing) Assessment
•A Resting ECG
•A HbA1c Blood Test (fasting)
 •A medical review and sign off by a Rail Accredited Doctor (AHP)"
CAT 2 Rail Medical Assessment
• Full Rail Medical
• Audio Assessment
 • Signed off by a Rail Accredited Doctor
Cat 2 Rail Medical Assessment
A category 2 rail medical assessment is completed to meet the national rail safety standards including:
•A Rail Medical Assessment including medical history questionnaire on legislative paperwork
•An Audio (hearing) Assessment
 •A medical review and sign off by a Rail Accredited Doctor (AHP)"
CAT 3 Rail Medical Assessment (ongoing employment)
• Full Rail Medical
• Audio Assessment
 • Signed off by a Rail Accredited Doctor
Cat 3 Rail Medical Assessment
A category 3 rail medical assessment is completed to meet the national rail safety standards including:
•A Rail Medical Assessment including medical history questionnaire on legislative paperwork
•An Audio (hearing) Assessment
 •A medical review and sign off by a Rail Accredited Doctor (AHP)"
CAT 3 Rail Medical Assessment (pre-employment)
• Full Rail Medical
• Audio Assessment
• Instant Drug & Alcohol Screen
 • Signed off by a Rail Accredited Doctor
Cat 3Rail Medical Assessment
 With instant drug and alcohol test
A category 3 rail medical assessment is completed to meet the national rail safety standards including:
•A Rail Medical Assessment including medical history questionnaire on legislative paperwork
•An Audio (hearing) Assessment
•An Instant Urine Drug Screen
•An Alcohol Breath Test
 •A medical review and sign off by a Rail Accredited Doctor (AHP)"
