The Department of Home Affairs offers a free work rights service called Visa Employment Verification Online (VEVO).

The service allows an individual or an organisation to instantly check a person's rights to work in Australia.

Once a check has been submitted, a report is produced which can be saved by an individual to use as proof of work rights, and stored by any organisation as evidence.

The online service offered by VEVO only allows an organisation to check one individual's work rights at at time and does not offer a reminder service should a visa condition change or expire.

It is up to the individual to keep an employer updated should a condition change, and it is a legal requirement for an organisation to keep monitoring every worker's rights to work and regularly check the VEVO service for any updates for any worker.
