Summary:
An automated reference check is part of the hiring process where your potential employer sends an electronic request/invitation to past employer(s) or professional contacts to confirm your skills, work history, and suitability for a role.


Details:

  • You will be asked to log in to WorkPro and enter one or more referees details, including their name, phone number, email, company name and job title.
  • An invitation will then be sent to the referee; it is definitely encouraged for you to ask their permission beforer you add their details.
  • The referee will be provided a questionnaire that focuses on your professional achievements, skills, and workplace behaviour.
  • Once the referee has opened the reference invitation, the status will update, so you have transparency of the progress.
  • Once the reference is completed, the prospective employer will get a copy of the report. The status on your profile will also update, but you won't receive a copy of the report.
  • You can also be asked for an additional or different referee during the process. If this occurs, you will receive a notification via email.
