Each State in Australia has a different method for applying for a working with children check.

 

As a workforce compliance specialist, WorkPro has made this process simple for you to apply and upload your check to the WorkPro platform. It also means that a company will be able to validate its currency and track its expiry.

 

You can only upload your check or apply for a check through WorkPro if a company has sent you a request to do this on the WorkPro platform.

 

If you have been requested for a Working with Children or Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWC/VP) using WorkPro, follow these instructions.

 

  1. If you do not have a current WWC/VP check:
    1. Log in or sign up to WorkPro, enter the Token you have been provided with and ‘apply’ for the check.
    2. You will automatically be re-directed to the State-based website to complete the application process. 
    3. Because you have used WorkPro to apply for the card/check, we will automatically send you an email reminder to log back into WorkPro after 28 days to upload your card number or a copy of the card that you have received in the mail or electronically.
    4. Once you have uploaded the information, the requesting company will be alerted, and they can log in to the system to validate the card. You can expect to receive email reminders as the card is due for expiry to ensure that you have time to apply for a new one.
  2. If you have applied for a card by some other method, other than WorkPro:
    1. Log in or sign up to WorkPro, enter the Token you have been provided with and select ‘I’ve already applied for my card’. This will alert the requesting organisation that the application is underway.
    2. Once you have received your card, log back in to WorkPro, enter the details and upload a copy of the card. The requesting organisation will be notified, and will be able to verify the card and monitor its expiry through the WorkPro platform.
  3. If you have a current card, upload the details and a copy of the card and the requesting organisation will able to verify the card and continue to monitor it should the status change or it expires.
